Source data can be inputted via the user-interface or ingested via the powerful import function to the cloud database.
The system is highly configurable, allowing TV metadata to be stored at any level within the hierarchy, and new fields added in a few clicks
Capable of storing both editorial and technical metadata. Pawa also has a image editor, vital for EPG’s displaying rich media.
Designed to deliver metadata all over the world. Pawa handles any language. The most user-friendly platform.
Unlock the power of Pawa, a game-changing solution for broadcasters and platforms! Seamlessly manage TV metadata, images, and electronic program guides (EPG) for VOD and FAST channels. For platforms, Pawa excels at aggregating channel and program metadata from diverse sources, enabling efficient multiplatform distribution. Elevate your content management with Pawa.
Used in-house by our experienced editors to provide services for channels and operators alike, the system is also available as a SaaS product for a greater level of control.
Pawa allows a single cloud database to update all endpoints. Including platform, print, web, and more. PA Media’s TV Metadata editors ensure that data is fully compliant with TV platform specifications and have extensive knowledge and understanding of OFCOM guidelines. The Pawa system is set up to automate EPG data directly into platforms where possible. By producing files in the correct format and delivering through approved methods, updates can be seen on platforms in as little as 10-15 minutes.
This speed makes Pawa invaluable when dealing with unpredictable live events – helping to ensure that EPGs are correctly maintained, personal recordings are carried out satisfactorily, and more. We provide the following file types for various platforms:
Flat files sent through a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN)
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Extensible Markup Language (XML)
FTP of XML using the legacy FTP over VPN connection and API
XML delivery
Over 500 channels are managed in Pawa, and data is outputted directly to over 100 platforms worldwide to the specifications required by each broadcaster or operator.
It can also provide Series Linking, SCRIDs for DTT platforms, consistent programme IDs (CRIDs) to allow for alternate instance recording, split events, guidance flags, +1 blanking and blackouts. We have developed further technical solutions, including recordable interactive child channels and a switchable out-of-home service.
Pawa can be used either as a managed service proposition or internally to deliver metadata to various VOD and DTO platforms.
Rather than exporting based on a date and time range – as in a linear system – Pawa allows programmes, series and episodes to be added to a playlist
Missing data is researched and added, export platforms are selected, and files are generated in full accordance with platform specifications
Pawa allows non-linear services to share the same library as linear, which ensures consistent editorial output
In an increasingly competitive broadcasting landscape, enhanced channel management software empowers broadcasters to:
Effectively manage programming inventory to create broadcast schedules – ensuring that content is effectively organised and utilised across different channels and platforms.
Manual input for repetitive tasks such as scheduling, metadata management, and content ingest is greatly reduced by a channel management software. Also the risk of error is mitigated.
Receive unique insights into viewer behaviour, audience demographics, and content performance – allowing broadcasters to make data-driven decisions to refine programming strategies and improve channel performance.
